You choose how much other players see in Privacy and sharing. A public profile shows your full name and photo, a semi-public profile shows your first name and photo, and a private profile shows the least. The setting works both ways.
Change your privacy setting
Open the Profile tab and tap Settings.
Tap Privacy and sharing.
Choose Public profile, Semi-public profile or Private profile.
Tap Save.
The screen shows how other players will see you, and how you'll see them.

The stricter setting of the two players applies. For example, with a semi-public profile you also only see other players' first names.
