Delayed Charges – When You Book More Than 6 Days in Advance
Nettla uses a secure online payment system that reserves (but does not immediately withdraw) funds when you book an activity. However, this reservation can only last for up to 6 days.
So, if you book something that takes place more than 6 days in the future, here’s what happens:
The funds are reserved when you book.
On the 6th day after booking, Nettla completes the charge, and the amount is withdrawn from your bank account.
Refunds – When You Cancel
Refund behaviour depends on how long ago the booking was made:
If you cancel within 6 days of booking:
The original reservation is simply released — meaning no money ever left your account. You won’t see a refund; you’ll just notice the funds are no longer held.
If you cancel after 6 days of booking:
The charge had already gone through, so you’ll receive a real refund — a positive amount will appear in your account.
This behaviour is due to how banking systems handle payment holds vs. actual charges. It’s normal, secure, and automated — but we understand it can be confusing, which is why we hope this clarifies things.
